Organised by The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Dragon Capital with the support from PwC Vietnam.
The seminar themed FinTech: Threats & Opportunities was organised by The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Dragon Capital with the support from PwC Vietnam.
The event rallied more than 150 representatives from international and domestic financial associations, chief executive officers, chief financial officers, and financial leaders.
On this seminar, ACCA revealed the analysis for the report Fintech: Transforming finance showing that while FinTech’s impact on finance and banking is proving to be as revolutionary to the sector as the internet has been for other areas of the economy, the rapid growth of such firms in the face of traditional regulatory models could increasingly become a barrier to success.
The rise of FinTech is good news for industry innovation and consumer choice; finance. Despite the fact that FinTech has been causing significant digital disruption to global finance for almost a decade, the sector is still in need of strong guidance against regulatory hurdles.
The implications of many sought-after findings were discussed in the seminar’s panel discussion in which Hieu Vo from Dragon Capital’ s private equity shared his experiences when he run Vietnam Innovative Startup Accelerator (launched in April by Dragon Capital and FPT).
