Vietnam Enterprise Investments (VEIL) is an investment company aiming to achieve medium-to-long term capital growth by investing in the equity securities of companies primarily operating in, or with significant exposure to, Vietnam. VEIL adopts a bottom-up approach to investment selection and does not set portfolio allocations with reference to index weightings. In this interview, Tuan Le Anh, VEIL’s lead portfolio manager, discusses Vietnam’s open trade policy and how it stimulates the Vietnamese economy. He also explains the importance of Vietnam’s potential reclassification to an emerging market for local equities.
